Verdict

Well Stone Sour return with this offering "Come What (Ever) May" the follow up album to their first release. As it stands the lead singer of Stone Sour "Corey Taylor" is having great success he has a great record with Slipknot and then decides to make the second album with Stone Sour though fans of Slipknot will probably either like this album or loath it but Stone Sour is a alternative to the heavy trashy Slipknot on with the review then the first thing that strikes me with this album is how Stone Sour as a band have really upped the tempo on this cd first track "30/30 150" starts of with a blistering a pace very thrash metal head banging stuff then second track "Come What (Ever) May" is a gentle slow starter that is a great rock n roll track the best thing in my opinion that Stone Sour have done the album has many surprises through out tracks like "Sillyworld" and Through Glass" are filled with plenty of Acoustic Guitars and these tracks are ballads but are so impressive when listening to this album I have to compare it with there last efforts though there debut was good this follow up knocks it over in many ways the heaviest track on the album has to be "Reborn" So to sum this album everything is just brilliant you can not fault it the lyrics of Corey Taylor are superb the drumming and guitar work is exceptional and the songs and the production on this album is top notch Stone Sour have come back with a blast and I think this band will be around for a while yet there is just one question you have to ask is which band will fold first Slipknot or Stone Sour?
