Since Slayer entered the world of thrash in the 80's they have made some classic album's a prime example is there 1987 classic "Reign In Blood" 28 minutes of pure 100% fast evil thrash that quite frankly a lot of band's today have not come close to. So Slayer are back this time with there new album "Christ Illusion" From the start to the end this is an album worthy of "Reign In Blood" and there 1990 album "Season's In The Abyss" from the opener "Flesh Storm" this is Slayer making a statement they are back 100% heavier then before and not to mention the excellent Guitar work from Guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman as usual there solos are top notch proof can be heard on Track "Eyes Of The Insane". Track "Cult" start's of slow at first with a groovy riff then all of a sudden all hell breaks loose lyrics such as "religion is hate, religion is fear, religion is war, religion is rape, religion's obscene, religion's a whore. Other lyrics on this track contain "I've made my choice Six Six Six so Slayer have not lost any of their references to the devil in this album. Bottom line is if you liked there "Region In Blood" and Seasons In The Abyss" album's this will be the album for you I have to admit I have not stopped listening to this its a classic and I must add a welcome return to Dave Lombardo on the drums.
